My favorite books

Here are some beautiful books of fiction that have helped define my life and fill my free-time with joy and thought:

  3. The Hobbit,  by J.R.R. Tolkein
  4. The Two Towers,  by J.R.R. Tolkein
  5. The Fountainhead,  by Ayn Rand
  6. Animal-Farm,  by George Orwell
  7. The Screwtape Letters,  by C.S. Lewis
  8. Crime and Punishment,  by Fyodor Dostoyevsky
  9. The Glorious Gentleman Sir Quixote of La Mancha,  by Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra
  10. Ender's-Game,  by Orson Scott Card
I have read some of these all the way through more than once;  if I had the time,  I would read them all again.  They are not all happy stories,  but they are each joyful, and that is something I like.
